Long wavelength infrared lenses (LWIR lenses) are designed to operate at 8-12 micron wavelength region, matched with uncooled FPA detectors in thermal imaging cameras, the MWIR lenses are designed for cooled FPA detectors at 3-5 micron wavelength.
